Please note: Our newest models of Scullers and Sweeps have a stronger elastic material on the finger straps than ever before. They may feel tight at first, but will relax slightly in as little as ten minutes of rowing. Before trying them on, we recommend tugging a few times on each elastic finger strap to ensure a comfortable fit for your first row.

great gloves

started wearing them due to some hand surgery. I tried another brand that was not helpful, these were easy to adjust to in about the first 5'. I never undo the velcro, if you keep undoing it and re-fastening, it starts to curl up off the glove. Otherwise, these are great. I'd like to make them tighter around the wrist, maybe just make the bottom velcro area 1/2" longer so someone could wear them tighter.

Has material changed?

This is my second pair of sculling gloves from Crew stop. The first pair were a bit tight when I first purchased them, but then loosened, as described and were a perfect fit for several years. They lasted several years and were very durable and food value. I just got another pair. But they don't seem to be loosening as much. They still do the job, and are especially effective in hot weather because they prevent oar handle slippage from sweat. Be sure to close the velcro strap when not in use, and when drying, or the velcro will curl. These are great gloves for sculling

Get blisters in new places

I was hoping that these gloves would prevent blisters, but instead, I get blisters in new places

10,000 meters, only 1 blister. Amazing!

Had my first pair of these gloves in August of 2022, and thought to myself "time to get a new pair?". Great customer service - and answered the size of my original pair within a day. Ordered the new set - and then went out sculling for 10,000 meters. Normally when I've been off the water 4+ weeks I'll end up with hands full of new blisters - but only ended up with 1 small blister. These gloves are amazing! I'd recommend them for any sculler.

Great for your hands and your rowing

These gloves provide excellent protection from blisters and general wear and tear on the hands. I've never been able to get to the protective calluses like some folks do, so these are a lifesaver. They're also a huge asset on less optimal weather days, lessening the need to change your grip in wind or rainy as the oar handles get wet.

In my many years of using these gloves, the first part to fail for me is always the Velcro. While I could likely get more months out of the palm/fingers/elastic of the glove, the Velcro does start to curl and lose tackiness, which can lead to it coming undone on your rows. Depending on practice frequency and intensity, I'd guess you get about a full on-water to off-water season out of a pair. A better investment by far than endless band aids, antibiotic, tape, etc.

Love my Sculling Gloves

Sculling in hot, humid and/or wet weather, my oar handles would become slippery & it would be difficult to maintain a good grip.
Since wearing my sculling gloves, I can maintain a lovely soft grip of the oar handles, without slipping.
Love my Sculling gloves!
