Please note: Our newest models of Scullers and Sweeps have a stronger elastic material on the finger straps than ever before. They may feel tight at first, but will relax slightly in as little as ten minutes of rowing. Before trying them on, we recommend tugging a few times on each elastic finger strap to ensure a comfortable fit for your first row.

Great for your hands and your rowing

These gloves provide excellent protection from blisters and general wear and tear on the hands. I've never been able to get to the protective calluses like some folks do, so these are a lifesaver. They're also a huge asset on less optimal weather days, lessening the need to change your grip in wind or rainy as the oar handles get wet.

In my many years of using these gloves, the first part to fail for me is always the Velcro. While I could likely get more months out of the palm/fingers/elastic of the glove, the Velcro does start to curl and lose tackiness, which can lead to it coming undone on your rows. Depending on practice frequency and intensity, I'd guess you get about a full on-water to off-water season out of a pair. A better investment by far than endless band aids, antibiotic, tape, etc.

Love my Sculling Gloves

Sculling in hot, humid and/or wet weather, my oar handles would become slippery & it would be difficult to maintain a good grip.
Since wearing my sculling gloves, I can maintain a lovely soft grip of the oar handles, without slipping.
Love my Sculling gloves!

Sculling gloves work great!

I was having trouble maintaining a good grip towards the end of hard pieces on hot days. These gloves completely fixed the problem. I have a rock solid grip now no matter how sweaty my hands get. I don’t notice any negative impact on my ability to feel what the blades are doing but take that with a grain of salt…I only have 800K of rowing experience. I read a couple forum complaints that these gloves just move blisters to different spots. That was true for me but that’s because my hands are no longer slipping so the pressure is on different spots. Don’t worry, those spots will toughen up too and all will be well.

Excellent Sculling Gloves

Scullers are excellent for sweaty hands or humid conditions! They are also great for those days your hands are trashed and you need some protection so that you can continue to train but save your hand from further damage. Scullers have excellent design and craftsmanship which give you a tight and sturdy fit to withstand lots of rowing miles. Scullers are priced just right but for what you can get out of useing them, it's priceless.
