I have been using The Crew Stop gloves for six years now to protect my hands from getting ripped up at the start of a season or to help with grip problems and forearm tendinitis. It is not cool to be in pain when it’s preventable, that is why I wear the gloves!

I love The Crew Stop gloves for two reasons. First they protect my hands which allows for more sessions and more meters without dealing with blisters and hand infections. Secondly, they provide a bit more grip through the palm which allows me to focus on maintaining flat wrists while still having solid connection with the oar, even when they are wet.

I struggle with grip issues on the water. After a long fall season of sore hands and forearms, I started using The Crew Stop gloves and it has helped immensely. Whether you use them for grip issues or to prevent blisters, I highly recommend rowing with these gloves. The gloves are the best and a game changer.

I started using The Crew Stop gloves in college at Texas and they are now an essential in my rowing bag. Since rowing requires so much focus for technique and all the physical demands, I want to limit any distractions that would take away from my rowing. Not having to worry about painful hands or throbbing wounds allows me to put all my energy into what really matters.

I’ve been using crew stop rowing gloves since returning to training at the end of 2025, after taking a break post 2024 Olympics, and they’ve been a game changer. The biggest difference for me has been how much they reduce the impact of blisters, especially during that initial period back when your hands are still toughening up again.

They also really come into their own in rough water. The extra grip they provide on the handle gives you a lot more confidence and control, even when conditions aren’t ideal!!

Most of my teammates will joke about me having clammy hands but that can be such a problem when it comes to racing — especially in the humid summer! It’s so epic having the option to wear The Crew Stop gloves to take away that stress on race day.

I have been using the Crew Stop Gloves for a while and won the World Cup in Varese using them. For me personally, the grip elements on the gloves make a huge difference. Because of my impairment I don’t have as much strength in one arm, so the extra grip really helps me hold the oar properly and makes rowing much more stable and efficient for me.

What I like the most about the gloves has to be the days we do long steady states, I feel like I can just focus on going hard and on my technique without the feeling of achy hands and forming blisters. I have really sensitive hands, so finding a product like this that so significantly improves my performance on the day to day has definitely been a life saver!

As a team of four women preparing to row 4,800 km across the Atlantic Ocean, these gloves from The Crew Stop have been an absolute game-changer for us. We’ve put them through countless training sessions, and they’ve consistently delivered comfort, durability, and protection. Blisters and grip fatigue are a constant concern in ocean rowing, but these gloves have helped us stay focused on performance instead of pain. We’re proud to say these gloves are part of our journey, and we wouldn’t want to face the ocean without them!

The gloves were a game changer. Rowing from Tete, Mozambique through to Zambia was extremely demanding — long hours, heat, fatigue, and constant pressure on the hands. Without your gloves, I honestly believe I would have returned to Uganda with serious palm injuries. Instead, I finished the expedition strong, confident, and protected. They weren’t just gloves — they were essential equipment that helped carry us to success.

The Race to Alaska is 750 nautical miles of no mercy, traversing challenging waters and a significant amount of rowing; at times over eight hours straight. My rowing gloves from The Crew Stop were my secret weapon that allowed me to keep pushing hard, especially in the final stretch to the finish. The race demands mental toughness, but also the right equipment. Thank you to The Crew Stop team for making such a great product that delivers for athletes: great grip, protection for my hands, and excellent breathability – it's all there!

It's important to look after your hands when you are training up to 30km in a session and rowing over 100km on the day of the Solstice Row. Bad blisters can easily keep you off the water for a week or more. The Crew Stop very kindly donated a set of sculling gloves to keep me going in the build up to the event. Thanks so much, 14 1/2 hours on the water and no sore hands.
