Please note: Our newest model of Starboard Sweeps has a stronger elastic material on the finger straps than ever before. They may feel tight at first, but will relax slightly in as little as ten minutes of rowing. Before trying them on, we recommend tugging a few times on each elastic finger strap to ensure a comfortable fit for your first row.

  • Materials & Care
    • Glove Palm: 80% Polyester, 20% Polyurethane
    • Grip: Silicone
    • Fingers and Thumb: Elastic
    • Thumb and Trim: 80% Nylon, 20% Elastane

Care instructions can be found on the label: Machine wash cold water, lay flat to dry.

Velcro wrist straps should always be closed/secured when gloves are not in use or being washed to prevent warping, bending, and/or collection of debris.

First try: they work

I'm writing this review after one trial of about 20 mins row up to 26/28 in an 8, part of a longer outing. They are a challenge to put on. They worked to protect my blistered hands. It was possible to row with them on. Glad I bought them , to save my hands from about mid outing.

3rd pair

The new pair is very tight but does loosen up
A bit with use. I use them for long rows ( on water and Erg) and competitions as my hands slip when wet and they give me a good grip.

Wish I bought them sooner!

They are great. Give me awesome control on the oars even when it’s wet.
