  • Silicone on palm and fingers improves oar grip, even while wet
  • Lightweight palm material is thin, breathable, and quick drying
  • Durable, flexible elastic provides snug fit through fingers
  • Velcro wrist closure allows for secure and adjustable fit
  • Approved for all national, international and Olympic competitions; Popular in elite regattas around the world
  • Allows calluses to develop while preventing painful blisters; Focus on your technique, not your pain
  • Sizing

Please note: Our newest models of Scullers and Sweeps have a stronger elastic material on the finger straps than ever before. They may feel tight at first, but will relax slightly in as little as ten minutes of rowing. Before trying them on, we recommend tugging a few times on each elastic finger strap to ensure a comfortable fit for your first row.

    Unisex Size Palm Circumference
    XX-Small 15 - 17cm
    X-Small 17 - 18.5cm
    Small 18.5 - 20cm

    XX-Large 25cm +

Measure the circumference of your palm at the widest point with your fingers outstretched.

If you're on the border between two sizes and your fingers or wrists are thick, go with the larger size.

    Watch our sizing video below:

  • Materials & Care
    • Glove Palm: 80% Polyester, 20% Polyurethane
    • Grip: Silicone
    • Fingers and Thumb: Elastic
    • Thumb and Trim: 80% Nylon, 20% Elastane

Care instructions can be found on the label: Machine wash cold water, lay flat to dry.

Velcro wrist straps should always be closed/secured when gloves are not in use or being washed to prevent warping, bending, and/or collection of debris.

When machine washing the gloves, we recommend putting them in a delicates bag to further extend their longevity.

My hands need these!

I’ve been sculling for about four way years now, and the only way I can keep it up, is with these gloves… They are truly a lifesaver for me.

Middle finger seem

The inside of the glove has a large protruding rough seem where your middle finger meets your hand. Terrible design. Tape or golf glove work better

Hi Abigail,

Thank you for your feedback. We’re so sorry to hear that you found the middle seam on the inside of the gloves uncomfortable. We try our hardest to give our customers the best fit possible, and we’d be happy to help you exchange if you’d like to try a different size/type of gloves. Please email us at support@thecrewstop.com for more information.

Kind regards,
-Paige

Work great

These have offered great blister protection and good grip. Sizing is unisex and therefore small for men. I'm a male with not particularly large hands and went with the XL. The large was too small for me.

Perfect gloves to stop slipping on the oars - perfect fit and improved technique instantly. Buy - you will not be disappointed!

Got more blisters

I trusted that these slices would help me avoid blisters while rowing. I have more now than before.
Also, they look nice but are quite flimsy. The open fingers on top do not help with anything. Would not buy again

TGHE VERY BEST TO GLOVES FOR ROWING

I have tried all the different rowing gloves through the years. The CrewStop gloves without any hesitation are the very best. There is nothing like them anywhere. They give you the very best grip and control. Blisters used to be a problem, but no more. Overtime they just blend into your hand. It is at this point in time that I would probably not row without them.

I will never scull without them!

I’ve been sculling in these gloves for years (I was a fairly early adopter), and have found that the added friction provided by these EXTREMELY thin but strong gloves (which do not impact good boat feel in the least) allow for a lighter, more positive grip on the sculls. This decreases fatigue in the hands/forearms and consequently has essentially eliminated repetitive use injuries in my case. This is particularly true when they are used in rougher water, or when either water conditions or perspiration result in wet hands. They also provide a much better grip on the erg handle after those long, sweaty pieces.

The one piece of constructive criticism I would offer is that, after months of near-daily machine washing (but air drying) of the gloves, the velcro closure gradually begins to fail. Currently, I am solving this issue with a single loose wrap of medical adhesive tape at the wrist. It would be great, however, if the design could be modified to make this unnecessary.

I understand that the elastic at the fingers on the latest version of the gloves (which I have not yet tried) has been improved to hold its original shape better; perhaps the velcro has been similarly updated. Even in the absence of these improvements, I use my gloves almost daily, year-round.

Great company, great product. Do not hesitate to try these gloves!
